Frequently Asked Questions

How VScalp works as software: signals, Copy Bybit, Auto-Trade, Strategy Vault, exchange connections, risk, pricing and support.

1. General

What is VScalp?
VScalp is software only. It produces rule-based signals and provides analytics, backtesting and optional order automation that connects to your own third-party exchange account through API keys you create and control. VScalp operates no venue, holds no funds and never trades on your behalf outside the rules you configure.
Who is VScalp for?
VScalp is aimed at experienced crypto traders who understand futures, leverage and the risks involved, and who want to research, backtest or automate rule sets on an exchange account they already control.
Is VScalp an exchange or broker?
No. VScalp is not an exchange, broker, custodian, wallet provider or payment processor. All trading and custody happens on the exchange you connect.
Does VScalp hold my funds?
No. VScalp is non-custodial. Your funds stay in your own exchange account at all times, custody and settlement are handled by the exchange, and VScalp has no ability to withdraw or transfer assets. See our Security page.
Which exchanges does VScalp support?
VScalp currently supports Bybit for API-linked automation and account analytics. Additional exchanges may be added over time. Availability may depend on your plan, exchange integration, region, or future product updates.
Is VScalp available in all countries?
Access to VScalp and to specific features may be restricted based on your country, the exchange you use, or local regulations. You are responsible for making sure your use of VScalp and of any connected exchange is permitted where you live.

2. Product and automation

How does VScalp work?
VScalp's engines apply deterministic rules to market data on a defined universe of pairs and emit signals. Signals are informational outputs, not advice or instructions. You can read them manually, or link a Bybit API key so the software submits orders on your own account strictly according to the rules you save.
What is Auto-Trade?
Auto-Trade is rule-based order automation on your own API-linked exchange account. You define entry conditions, order size, take-profit, stop-loss, trailing and DCA levels; the software submits matching order requests to the exchange. There is no discretionary or managed trading — you can pause execution or revoke the key at any time. See Auto-Trade.
What is Copy Bybit?
Copy Bybit refers to Bybit's own native copy-trading functionality, where you follow the VScalp Master Account directly on Bybit. Replication, custody and execution are performed by Bybit, not by VScalp, and no API key is shared with us. VScalp publishes the historical record of realized trades on that account. See Copy Bybit.
What is the Strategy Vault?
The Strategy Vault is a research and preset layer. Each card shows historical simulated results for a configuration and, where compatible, lets you review and apply that preset to your own Auto-Trade account. Vault metrics are simulations of past data and do not guarantee future results. See Strategy Vault.
What strategies can I automate?
You can automate signal-based entries with configurable take-profit, stop-loss, trailing stop, timeouts and optional scaled orders (DCA), per bot and per connected account. Specific presets and parameters availability may depend on your plan, exchange integration, region, or future product updates.
Does VScalp support DCA?
Yes. Auto-Trade supports scaled orders (DCA) with a base order plus additional safety orders at configurable deviations and sizes, per bot.
Can I use VScalp for scalping?
VScalp's engines target short-to-medium term entries on liquid perpetual futures pairs. Whether a given configuration suits scalping depends on exchange latency, fees, funding and your own risk parameters. We make no claim that any configuration is profitable.
Can I run multiple bots or pairs?
Yes. VScalp exposes several bots covering different pair lists, and you can configure execution overrides per bot. Concurrency limits are configurable in Auto-Trade settings.
Can I trade manually as well as automatically?
Yes. You can read the signals and place trades yourself on your exchange, or enable Auto-Trade so the software submits orders through your API key according to your saved rules. Both paths use the same signal source.
Does VScalp support signal-based workflows or webhooks?
Yes. VScalp can send outbound webhooks (HMAC-signed) for signal events, and provides Telegram notifications. Details are available in the API & Integrations section. Availability may depend on your plan, exchange integration, region, or future product updates.
What is the difference between live trading, simulation, and backtesting?
Live trading executes orders on your real exchange account. Backtesting replays historical data through a strategy to estimate hypothetical performance. Simulations do not reflect all real-market conditions (slippage, latency, outages, liquidity, fees) and should not be treated as a forecast of live results.
Does VScalp guarantee profitable trades?
No. VScalp makes no performance promise of any kind. Past and simulated results do not guarantee future results, and trading crypto derivatives involves a substantial risk of loss. See our Risk Disclosure.

3. Exchange/API and security

How do I connect my exchange account?
Generate an API key on your exchange with the required permissions and add it in Auto-Trade. Follow the on-screen guidance for recommended settings.
What API permissions are required?
Read access to balances and positions is enough for account analytics. Order placement permission on derivatives markets is required only if you enable Auto-Trade. Withdrawal permission must never be enabled. Where your exchange supports IP allow-lists, we recommend using them.
Can VScalp withdraw funds from my exchange account?
No. VScalp does not request or use withdrawal permissions. You should never grant withdrawal rights to any trading tool.
What happens if the exchange API is unavailable?
If the exchange API is down, rate-limiting, or returning errors, VScalp cannot place, modify or cancel orders on that exchange. Automated positions may remain open until the API recovers. You are responsible for monitoring your positions.
What happens if my API key is revoked or misconfigured?
If your key is invalid, expired or missing permissions, Auto-Trade will fail to place or manage orders and you will typically see errors in the executions log. Reconnect a valid key with the correct permissions.
How should I secure my API keys?
Use exchange-side IP allow-listing where possible, disable withdrawals, use unique keys per tool, and rotate keys regularly. Never share your keys with anyone.
Does VScalp store exchange credentials?
API secrets you provide are encrypted at rest (AES-GCM) and used only to sign requests to your exchange according to your saved rules. You can delete them from VScalp at any time, and revoke the key exchange-side. See our Security and Privacy Policy pages.

4. Risk and performance

Is crypto trading risky?
Yes. Prices can move rapidly and unpredictably, and you can lose part or all of your capital. Only trade with funds you can afford to lose.
Is leveraged/futures trading especially risky?
Yes. Leverage amplifies both gains and losses. Small adverse price moves can trigger partial or full liquidation. Read our Risk Disclosure before enabling automation.
Are backtest results reliable?
Backtests and Strategy Vault metrics are hypothetical simulations. They are computed on historical data and do not include all real-market frictions such as slippage, latency, partial fills, exchange outages or funding costs. Past performance does not guarantee future results and should not be read as a forecast.
Why can live results differ from simulation?
Live execution depends on real-time liquidity, order-book conditions, exchange fees, funding, network and API latency, and event risk. Any of these factors can cause live results to diverge from backtested or simulated results.
Can latency, slippage, or outages affect execution?
Yes. Automated trading depends on your device, your internet connection, VScalp, the exchange API and the exchange matching engine. Any of these can experience latency or downtime.
Who is responsible for monitoring open positions?
You are. Even with automation enabled, you should monitor your account, alerts and open positions, and be prepared to intervene manually if needed.

5. Pricing and billing

Does VScalp offer a free trial or free plan?
The Free plan gives limited access to public signals and the public performance dashboard. Paid plans may include an introductory trial. Current details are on the Pricing page. Availability may depend on your plan, exchange integration, region, or future product updates.
What subscription plans are available?
VScalp offers Free, Pro and Pro Max software access plans. See the Pricing page for current scope, prices and included features. Plans, limits and pricing may change over time.
How does billing work?
Paid plans are billed monthly in USD. Subscription payments are processed securely via Stripe. You will receive an invoice/receipt from Stripe for each successful charge.
Which payment methods are accepted?
Checkout is handled by Stripe. Accepted payment methods are those supported by Stripe at checkout, which typically include major credit and debit cards and selected local payment methods depending on your region.
Will subscriptions renew automatically?
Yes. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before renewal.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. You will keep access to your plan until the end of the current paid period.
Do you offer refunds?
All purchases and subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. This includes cases of partial use, non-use, account inactivity, trading outcomes, or user error. See our Terms of Use, or contact support with any billing questions.

6. Referral / affiliate

Does VScalp have a referral program?
VScalp may offer a referral program. See the Referral page for the current status and full program terms.
How does it work?
Where available, participants receive a unique referral link. Eligible rewards are attributed when a referred user meets the conditions defined in the program terms (for example, becoming a paying subscriber for a qualifying period).
When are rewards paid?
Eligible referral rewards are issued as VScalp account credit after any required qualification period and anti-abuse checks have been completed. Exact timing and any minimum thresholds are described in the program terms.
Can rewards be withdrawn or used as credits?
Referral rewards are provided as VScalp platform credit only. Credits are non-transferable, non-withdrawable, and cannot be redeemed for cash, crypto, or fiat. They may only be applied to eligible VScalp fees or services, subject to the applicable program terms.
Do you offer a creator/partner program?
Dedicated creator or partner programs may be offered on a case-by-case basis. Any rewards under such programs are also issued as VScalp platform credit unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing. Reach out via contact.
